It's here, just when you thought you've got the latest piece of equipment, big, fat corporations slap you in the face with yet another improved product. That's right folks, INTUOS 4 has landed!

DW4 | 3D | Rithanicus X68 - WIP 1
1) Make a hires model, do sculpting and detailing to it.
2) Export a lower res model of the detailed one and rebuild a base mesh by using 'Modify > Make Live' option.
3) UV unwrap the new base mesh
4) In ZBrush, use Zmapper to bake hires details onto the new base mesh.

Exhausting myself too early in the competition, lol. The concept is intimidating in a sense that it'll be uber hard to flesh out in 3D. Will try a minimalist sketch over to see how things go.
*EDIT* Did some resizing on the thighs. May not look significant at first, but the thighs have been shrunk considerably.

Playing around with ideas, nothing is concrete at the moment. On thing that's certain is that Rithanicus X68 is equipped with the technology to warp into and around the battlefield, like Warp Spiders from the Warhammer 40k universe.
I'll also have to do a fusion of demonic and sci-fi styles for the armor design. Weapons are open for suggestions.

Bring Out Teh Pitchforks!
To my utmost disappointment, the biggggeessst game art competition just got delayed. Some senior artists almost slit their wrists upon knowing that.
On a different note, i've been feeling a little down lately, time and time again the people i know make me realize that almost no one else in my circle gives a damn has any interest or exposure to game art. No offense to those who do not know about game art, i'm not directing hate or anything at you guys. Maybe i'm just feeling a little lonely at the moment.

I guess the delay is letting a lot of the professionals out there time to finish up their work for the week, and have fun on the weekends when it begins. I also stumbled upon a cool 2D painting program called 'Alchemy' but i've yet to try it out.
Oh no i promised Predator to help him out with his shooting in town. Time to lend a hand to UTAR peeps.

Vengeance Is Served
You bet it was, on an ice-cold dish, too.
What the fuck? Me, awake at 6 in the morning? That's right folks, thanks to a fucking cockroach i am. And yes, i'm terribly phobic of the flying variant due to extremely unpleasant past experiences with them.
Naturally, nerve-toxins were administered to disable the threat and successfully stopped it in its tracks. But it just wasn't enough. It was struggling to get back on its feet, eager to terrorize its victim even further.
But enough was enough. Vengeance must be served.
And so it was. Apparently shots from a lesser weapon failed to deal the killing blow, and forced me to bring out the big one. It did the job, with results much better than i anticipated. Pbbft.
